Addressing a press conference here, Maheshwar Reddy said the BRS MLAs were keen to join BJP, but since they were told to resign from their posts they were holding back.
In a letter addressed to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday, he said the people of the State voted against the Congress as it failed to implement all the promises made to them.
Maheshwar Reddy said since the Muslim rulers had done injustice to the native population and destroyed their culture and heritage, and that their symbols be erased from the State.
Maheshwar Reddy said though he raised 19 issues in his letter to CM A Revanth Reddy with regard to procurement of paddy and fine rice tenders, Uttam Kumar responded to only one issue and ignored others to hide the facts.
Maheshwar Reddy said he would write to PM Modi and union HM Amit Shah to order a CBI probe into the paddy procurement and send the details of the irregularities to CM Revanth Reddy.
Maheshwar Reddy alleged that paddy worth Rs. 1600 crore were sold without receipts and that Uttam Kumar Reddy and Civil Supplies department officials received a kickback of Rs.500 crore, out of which Rs.100 crore was handed over to Congress.
Maheshwar Reddy said the Chief Minister had promised to waive farm loans up to Rs. 2 lakh by August 15, whereas he was supposed to implement all the promises made under the six guarantees.
