Actor Manchu Manoj apologizes for Mohan Babu’s shocking attack on journalist

Addressing the media, Manoj expressed his regret, saying, "My father's actions towards the media deeply hurt me, and I sincerely apologize to all my friends in the media for this incident. My father is my life and has always been like a God to me. However, he was misled by Vinay, a friend of my brother, who painted me as an adversary. My wife, Mounika, and I recently launched a toy company, and they even created hurdles for us in that venture."

Hyderabad: Telugu actor Manchu Manoj apologised to the media fraternity following the attack on a vernacular news channel journalist by his father veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu on Tuesday.

While all the journalists and associations staged protests criticising Mohan Babu’s behaviour towards the journalists in this matter, responding on the issue Manoj publicly apologised in this matter at Jalpally on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media, Manoj said “My father’s attack on the media hurt me. I apologise to all my media friends in this matter. My father is my life and he has always been God to me. However, my father was trapped by Vinay, my brother’s friend. I was portrayed as an enemy. My wife Mounika and I started a toys company and they created obstacles in the business too.”

Elaborating further, Manoj said his father beat him up first and his mother who supported him was kept away from him.

“During this episode, my mother was sent outside without my knowledge. They convinced my mother that we would talk to me and convince,” an emotional Manoj said adding that his wife Bhuma Mounika and his seven-months-old daughter were being dragged into this dispute for no reason.

He expressed hope that the issue would soon be settled and he was meeting and requesting all people from the family members and friends and well-wishers to come forward to help and support him at the juncture.
