Hyderabad: A delegation of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Tuesday, submitted a representation to Principal Secretary, MA &UD and in-charge MRDCL, Dana Kishore raising objection over Musi River survey and demolitions.
The AIMIM pointed out that the so called survey report without any legal backing was being relied upon by the Musi River Development Corporation Limited (MRDCL) for developmental works.
“It was not placed in public domain giving an opportunity to the affected parties to put forth their objections nor any notices were issued to the affected parties before carrying the survey,” said AIMIM Bahadurpura MLA, Mohd Mubeen in the representation.
The delegation sought details regarding the date the survey was conducted, the legal basis, and if assistance was taken from other departments such as irrigation, survey and revenue.
Additonally, they asked them to inform that, if a preliminary or final notification was issued before the survey to define the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone boundaries.
The party asked the MRDCL to stick to the survey conducted in 2003 and the then fixed boundaries. Alternatively, it asked the corporation to conduct a resurvey and put it in public domain to allow public to raise objections.
