Around 100 candidates from Telangana and AP clear UPSC main exam, qualify for personality tests

Hyderabad: Around 100 candidates belonging to Telugu speaking States expected to have cleared the Civil Services Main examination and qualified for the personality tests.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday released the Civil Services Main examination 2024 results on its website https://www.upsc.gov.in, admitting a total of 2845 candidates from across the country for the interviews.
The personality tests (interviews) are likely to commence in the last week of January, 2025 and a schedule will be notified by the UPSC in the due course.
At all India level, over 5.5 lakh aspirants were expected to have appeared for the preliminary exam, which was conducted in May 2024, out of whom 14,627 candidates were declared qualified for the Main examination held in September 2024.
“As the competition in the Main examination is intense, all candidates who qualify are in a very narrow bandwidth. Every mark at the personality test will make a huge difference in the career of an aspirant. All qualified candidates should prepare keeping this aspect in view,” said Gopala Krishna, director Brain Tree Hyderabad.
All candidates, who qualified for the interviews, were required to fill and submit their Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) mandatorily, the UPSC said.
According to the notification issued by the UPSC about 1056 aspirants are likely to be certified for appointments to various positions including the IAS, IPS, Group A and Group B Services.
