Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party will hold a 24-hour protest to mount pressure on the State government to fulfil the promises made to the farming community, especially the crop loan waiver scheme, at the Dharna Chowk on September 30.
Speaking to the media on Friday, BJP Legislature Party leader A Maheshwar Reddy stated that the party had resolved to stand by the farmers in ensuring they get justice. The Congress had failed to fulfil the promises made during the Rythu declaration in Warangal and was delaying its implementation, he alleged. “It has been nine months since the Congress government came to power but has been unable to implement any of its guarantees properly,”he alleged.
Coming down heavily on the Congress party, the BJP MLA alleged that the party had deceived the farmers by not fulfilling the promises made to them during the polls. “The government has so far not released the Rythu Bandhu amounts. Even the crop loan waiver has not been totally implemented. BJP will not rest until farmers get justice,”he said.
