Hyderabad: BRS MLA KP Vivekananda blasted TPCC president A Mahesh Kumar Goud, for targeting BRS chief and Leader of Opposition K Chandrashekhar Rao instead of holding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accountable for Congress’s failures. He felt that the TPCC president’s letter to Chandrashekhar Rao was misplaced and dared him to ensure implementation of the complete loan waiver.
Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, Vivekananda said Mahesh Kumar Goud’s recent open letter to Chandrashekhar Rao appeared to shield Revanth Reddy’s shortcomings. He called Mahesh Kumar Goud a dummy president controlled by the Chief Minister, pointing out that past PCC presidents openly criticised their party’s governance when needed.
Vivekananda pointed out the Congress government‘s unfulfilled guarantees, including the failure to implement six guarantees including complete crop loan waivers and the Mahalakshmi scheme. He questioned why Congress leaders, including Mahesh Kumar Goud, had not pressed Revanth Reddy on these issues.
He also found fault with the TPCC president’s allegations on loans obtained under BRS regime, pointing out that they were utilised to put the State on path of progress and improve lives of people of Telangana. He added that despite borrowing lakhs of crores, the Congress government has failed to deliver tangible development in its one-year tenure.
Former MLA Balka Suman criticised Revanth Reddy for destroying Congress with double standards and inaction on key issues like Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and farmer suicides. He ridiculed Mahesh Kumar Goud’s letter as scrap paper, demanding him to question the Congress government’s neglect of Telangana’s cultural heritage, including Bathukamma which was removed from the original design of Telangana Thalli.
He charged the Revanth Reddy government with inexperience, mismanagement, and spreading misinformation, asserting that BRS would continue to fight for the people of Telangana.
