Cyberabad: Crime rate shoots by 64% in 2024

Hyderabad: The crime in Cyberabad registered an abnormal increase of 64 per cent in 2024. The police registered 37689 cases this year compared to 22859 cases last year.

Avinash Mohanty, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police said that the police adopted a “free registration of FIR approach and hence an increase in the number of cases.
The road accidents in Cyberabad came down by nearly 5 percent. A total of 842 people died in 805 road accidents this year.
The highest deaths were of bikers – 465 followed by 261 pedestrians deaths.
