Cyberabad police nab interstate gang of burglars
Six of the gang members who were committing burglaries in the State were nabbed in a special operation by the Central Crime Stations teams of Balanagar and Madhapur zones.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police nabbed an interstate criminal gang who were allegedly involved in several burglaries in Telangana and seized weapons including knives and daggers from them.
According to the police, the gang was involved in 35 cases of burglaries and an auto mobile theft case reported in Cyberabad (17), Rachakonda (9), Sangareddy (5), Medak (4) and Nalgonda (1).
Six of the gang members who were committing burglaries in the State were nabbed in a special operation by the Central Crime Stations teams of Balanagar and Madhapur zones.
‘The gang hails from Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh and visited the State regularly. They selected houses after a recce during day in different colonies and took away properties after breaking into the houses at night,” said Ch Srinivas, DCP (Rajendranagar).
The gang returned to their native place only after collecting half a kilogram of gold after committing burglaries. After a break, they revisited the city again and committed burglaries, the official added.
