Cyberabad traffic police catch 193 motorists during drunk-driving checks
The Cyberabad traffic police during drunk driving checking on Saturday night caught 193 people and booked cases against them. Among those caught include 160 two wheelers, 6 three wheelers, and 27 four wheelers.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police during drunk driving checking on Saturday night caught 193 people and booked cases against them. Among those caught include 160 two wheelers, 6 three wheelers, and 27 four wheelers.
The traffic police caught 21 drivers each in Shamshabad and Miyapur police station while in Alwal, 18 drivers were caught. A total of 79 cases were booked against drivers who were aged between 31 years and 40 years.
Among the offenders, 19 individuals were found with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging between 200 mg/100 ml and 550 mg/100 ml.
All offenders will be produced before the Court for further legal proceedings.
The individuals caught driving under the influence of alcohol and causing accidents that result in fatalities will be arrested and prosecuted under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder). This offense carries a maximum punishment of 10 years of imprisonment and a fine, the traffic police warned.
