Sources say Cooperative Bank officials on Monday issued notices to farmers in Ankol Thanda, Sangem, Mailaram, Durki, Baswaipalli, Ankol, Hajipur and other villages

A majority of the farmers had membership in PACS across the erstwhile Karimnagar district and took loans.

Only 80 farmers were covered by the initiative as against the total 448 farmers from another PACS at Chennur, while 40 farmers benefited from the scheme out of a total of 396 farmers of a PACS in Bheemini mandal centre.

He said that the KDCCB was the third largest bank in the district in terms of doing business and extending financial assistance to the farm sector after SBI and UBI.

Out of 13 directors of the PACS, ten have moved a no confidence motion against Shekhar Rao and served a notice to the DCO.

The general public would get an interest rate of 7.5 per cent and senior citizens would get 8 per cent interest rate for depositing the amount for 18 months period (546 days)
