Engineering student from Khammam drowns in sea at Kanyakumari
B Jayanth Sai, a resident of Birelli village in Bonakal mandal, had recently gained admission to a private university. He was part of a group of 20 students who went swimming at Kanyakumari beach on the evening of September 17.

Khammam: A B Tech first year student from Khammam drowned in Bay of Bengal at Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu while the condition of another student from Kothagduem was said to be serious.
The deceased B Jayanth Sai of Birelli village in Bonakal mandal got admission in a private university a couple of months ago. He was part of a group of 20 students who went to Kanyakumari beach for a swim on September 17 evening.
Jayanth Sai, his batchmate Sai Tarun of Sujatha Nagar in Kothagudem district and another student went a little deep into the sea. They were pulled into the sea by a backwash wave and the locals were able to rescue Sai Tarun along with the other student but Jayanth Sai drowned.
Jayanth Sai’s body was brought to Birelli for cremation after autopsy was done at a local government hospital. Sai Tarun, who swallowed a huge amount of sea water fell unconscious and was being treated at hospital at Kanyakumari.
