Hyderabad: YouTuber caught red-handed extorting money from family

Hyderabad: The Rein Bazaar police arrested a YouTuber for allegedly extorting money from a person after posting videos of him and his family on social media platforms.
Thanveer Ahmed (54), who runs a news channel on YouTube and Facebook, posted a video about a family and later demanded Rs 1 lakh from them for removing the content from the channels.
One of the family members, Lateef, filed a complaint with the police and the Rein Bazaar police registered a case.
The police caught Thanveer red-handed when the suspect called the man to a lodge and settled for Rs 70,000.
He was caught when he took money from Lateef at the lodge.
The police alleged that Thanveer was involved in four other cases.
