While day time temperatures have more or less remained stable at around 30 degree Celsius and 31 degree Celsius, the mercury has dipped significantly during night times at certain places in the State
In Eluru district, Kamavarapukota mandal, and Prakasam district's Kurichedu mandal, the maximum daytime temperatures reached 44.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum nighttime temperature was 32.1 degrees Celsius.
The highest temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nandiwada of Krishna district and Narasaraopet of Palnadu district. The lowest temperature was 38 degrees Celsius in the state.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) - Hyderabad, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maldives-Comorin area.
The department said that two western disturbances are prevailing the weather condition which may bring rain and thunderstorms to the western Himalayas.
