Jagtial police arrest six burglars

Jagtial: Police solved a dacoity case that took place in Beerpur and arrested six suspects involved in the crime. Ten tolas of gold ornaments (worth Rs 5 lakh), Rs 10,000 cash, six mobile phones, a motorcycle and two toy pistols were recovered from them. Producing the accused before the media here on Friday, Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar explained details about the theft.
The victim Kasam Eashwraiah runs a grocery shop in Beerpur mandal headquarters. At around 5 am on December 14, four unidentified persons wearing monkey caps entered into the house of Eashwariah and threatened him with toy pistols and assaulted him. Both Eashwaraiah and his wife were tied with cloth strips and gagged by thieves. Later, the burglars fled with gold jewelry and cash.
Based on reliable information, police on Friday conducted a search near Tummanalagutta of Dharmapuri mandal and arrested the accused. They are Munneesula Srinivas, Chippabathula Tulasayya, Bakkenapalli Arun, Yashodha Srinivas, Saidu Sahadev and Ratnam Manikyam.
While Tulasayya is working as record assistant at Zilla Parishad High School in Pounur, Sahadev runs a dhaba Tumanala X road, Manikyam is an autorickshaw driver. Gold ornaments including a bracelet, chain, ear studs and two rings, Rs 10,000 cash, six mobile phones, a bike, two toy pistols were recovered from them.
