Karimnagar: Collector Pamela Satpathy advised farmers to get minimum support price (MSP) by selling their produce in paddy purchasing centers established by the state government.
The Collector along with Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam inaugurated PPC centers in Vedira of Ramadugu mandal, Garshakurthy of Gangadhara mandal on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, she instructed staff to arrange all facilities at centers for the convenience of farmers and not to give any troubles to them.
The MLA advised farmers not to be betrayed by selling the crop to middlemen. Government has set up centers for the convenience of farmers. So, ryots could get remunerative prices for their produce by bringing quality crops to centers. While Rs 2320 MSP is being provided to Grade-A variety, Rs 2300 to common variety paddy, he informed.
