Kothagudem: District Collector Jitesh V Patil directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for upcoming Mukkoti Ekadasi celebrations at Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam at Bhadrachalam in the district.
The duties assigned to the officials should be completed with dedication so that the Mukkoti celebrations are celebrated smoothly and peacefully. Bhadrachalam RDO should supervise the arrangements for the celebration, he said.
The Collector along with SP, B Rohit Raju and ITDA PO B Rahul held a review meeting with the officials at Bhadrachalam RDO office on Tuesday. The sub-Collector should hold a meeting with the lodge and hotel owners to fix the prices.
Temples in Bhadrachalam and Dummugudem have to be decorated with electric lights, LED screens have to be installed at Bhadradri temple for the devotees to watch the celebrations and Hamsa Vahanam has to be checked and submit a verification report, Patil told officials.
Focus has to be laid on sanitation works in Bhadrachalam town, at Parnasala and Dummugudem. Charts have to be prepared to inform the devotees about the timings of buses, trains as well as popular sightseeing places in the district.
Patil expressed displeasure with the officials who were lax in preparing plans for the construction of toilets at Bhadrachalam Karakatta. Apart from Mukkoti celebrations, to develop Bhadrachalam as a tourist centre, state-level artists should be engaged to perform cultural programmes, stalls should be set up reflecting the importance of Bhadrachalam, tribal traditional dishes and items, he said.
Patil told officials to make plans for displaying wall posters at all airports in the country highlighting the importance of Bhadrachalam. The potholed road at Ambedkar Centre in Bhadrachalam town has to be repaired with a wet mixer within two days.
