SP, B Rohith Raju speaking at crime review meeting in Kothagudem.
Kothagudem: Delay in investigation of cases would not be tolerated and disciplinary action would be taken against negligent officers, warned Superintendent of Police, B Rohith Raju.
Speaking at a monthly crime review meeting here on Tuesday he asked all police officers to act responsibly while suggesting that criminals should be punished through quality of investigation and justice should be delivered to the affected persons.
With patrolling, officers and staff, Blue Colts vehicles should always be available to the public on the roads. Vigilance has to be increased to take action against people involved in illegal activities like illegal transportation of banned ganja, PDS rice, matka and gambling.
The youths were ruining their precious future by getting addicted to ganja and other intoxicants. Hot spots across the district should be identified; register cases against people who transport ganja as well as those who consume ganja and take strict action, Rohith Raju said.
He said that CC cameras should be installed at all places under the jurisdiction of every police station in the district. There should be an immediate response when the public loses money in cybercrimes.
The SP wanted officials to identify the places with more accidents (black spots) and coordinate with the relevant authorities to prevent them. Police officials should coordinate with the judicial authorities for quick resolution of the pending cases to ensure justice to the victims.
Police officials and staff who excelled in different duty verticals last month were presented the certificates of appreciation. DSPs, Shaik Abdul Rahaman, Sathish Kumar, Chandra Bhanu, Ravinder Reddy, Mallaiah Swamy and others were present.
