Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao expressed outrage over alleged misconduct by DSP Sudarshan and other police personnel near the Telangana Assembly on Wednesday. He warned of lodging a complaint with the Speaker, seeking action against the erring officials.
Harish Rao said the police obstructed him at the Assembly entrance, checked his vehicle and confiscating certain important documents under the pretext of inspection. He termed the incident “evil” and questioned the government’s motives behind such actions.
“Why is the government so afraid? The government claims to have removed the fences under Praja Palana (people’s governance), but is obstructing the opposition MLAs using the police forces,” he said.
The senior legislator charged DSP Sudarshan of snatching documents intended for the Assembly discussion, preventing him from bringing critical issues of people to the House.
