Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has agreed to release Rs 50 lakh for infrastructure development in the University College of Engineering, Osmania University, as a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
The university has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SCCL to this effect here on Saturday. SCCL, Finance & Personnel, director N Balaram and OU registrar Prof. P. Laxminarayana signed the agreement in the presence of the OU, Vice-Chancellor, Prof D Ravinder.
The funds released would be utilised to construct three classrooms and restrooms, the university said.
University College of Engineering, principal, Prof. M Kumar, Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Suresh Kumar, University alumni coordinator Dr. Devarakonda Vijay Kumar, and SCCL, GM, Suryanarayana among others were present on the occasion.
