Hyderabad: Prof. Aldas Janaiah, Vice-Chancellor of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), has warned students and parents to be cautious of false promises made by private institutions regarding agricultural course admissions.
The university has an ‘A’ grade with ICAR accreditation, and no private college is affiliated with PJTAU, Prof.Janaiah has clarified. He advised students and parents not to fall prey to middlemen or consultants who claim to provide seats in the university.
In a statement issued here, the VC said the university has increased special quota seats and reduced fees by 50 per cent for agricultural courses (B.Sc (Hon) Agriculture, B.Sc (Hon) Community Science). Admissions will be based on merit obtained in TG EAPCET -2024 through counselling.
The students were also cautioned about unauthorized websites and middlemen and informed that the university’s official website (www.pjtsau.edu.in) was the only reliable source for admission information. Online applications for increased special quota seats will be accepted until November 1.
Parents and students were advised to visit the university’s official website www.pjtsau.edu.in for authentic information regarding admissions.
