Choudari Chandrashekhar and Rauthu Gangadhar from Karjelli village in Chintalamanepalli mandal were apprehended when they were committing the offence in a forest on the edges of Salugupalli, following a tip-off.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Two persons were arrested, while fourteen others were booked by sleuths of a task force for allegedly involving in banned gambling on the outskirts of Salugupalli village in Bejjur mandal on Friday night. Police seized Rs 5,200 in cash and two mobile phones from their possession.
Task Force inspector Rana Prathap said that Choudari Chandrashekhar and Rauthu Gangadhar from Karjelli village in Chintalamanepalli mandal were apprehended when they were committing the offence in a forest on the edges of Salugupalli, following a tip-off. They were handed over to Bejjur police for further action.
Doke Rajanna, Gande Thirupathi, Naini Laxmaji, Venkanna, Gunnaji, Borkute Goutham, Adapa Thirupathi, Ramesh, Rohit, Alli Thirupati, Santosh, Shekhar, Mahesh and Elkari Hanumanthu, belonging to different parts of Chintalamanepalli, Koutala and Bejjur mandals, were still at large.
Sub-Inspector Venkatesh, constables Ramesh, Madhu and staffers took part in the operation.
