Two held for duping job aspirants in Mahabubabad
Reports suggest that Nageshwar Rao and Sahohar Reddy duped individuals out of Rs. 1.76 crore by issuing fake appointment letters. The victims discovered the scam when they approached the concerned department. Two of them filed complaints with the Mahabubabad Rural police, who launched an investigation. As a result, the police arrested the two accused, bringing the fraudulent scheme to light.
Mahabubabad: Two persons, identified as Nageshwar Rao and Sahohar Reddy, who were allegedly involved in cheating several individuals with false promises of providing jobs in the Electricity Department were nabbed by the Mahabubabad Rural police on Monday.
According to reports, the duo collected about Rs.1.76 crore from a few individuals and handed over fake appointment letters to them. When the individuals approached the department, they realised that they had been cheated. Two of the victims lodged a complaint with the Mahabubabad Rural police, who investigated the issue and arrested Nageshwar Rao and Sahohar Reddy.
The police were trying to identify people, who paid money to the duo for securing jobs. The accused were presented in a local court and remanded to judicial custody.
