Hyderabad: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at Hyderabad-based Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT), inaugurated a one-week All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Sponsored ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Artificial Intelligence for Geospatial Data Analysis from November 18 to November 23, 2024.
This FDP, which was inaugurated on November 18, aims to provide participants from academia, industry, and research institutions with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in applying AI tools and techniques to geospatial data analysis.
The event attracted a diverse group of attendees, including faculty, industry professionals, and research scholars, all are enthusiastic to deepen their understanding of the intersection of AI and geospatial technologies, a press release said.
The event was graced by Dr. E. Saibaba Reddy, Principal of VJIT, senior scientists from Hyderabad-based NRSC-ISRO, Dr. E. Siva Sankar and Dr. Jaya Saxena.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. E. Siva Sankar highlighted the transformative impact of geo-spatial technologies and the pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing the processing and analysis of geospatial data.
Dr. A. Padmaja, Dean (Accreditations & Rankings), Sreelatha, Academic Coordinator, and Venkata Chalam, Senior Administrative Officer all from VJIT and others were present.
