A delegation from IIT-H, Suzuki Innovation Centres visited Cottage Industry at Gongulur in Sangareddy district on Thursday
Sangareddy: Indian Institute of Technology- Hyderabad (IIT-H) Director Prof BS Murty said that they will extend all possible support to Sarvodaya Women Entrepreneurs Cottage Industry located at Gongulur village in Sangareddy district on Thursday.
Prof Murty assured to provide an opportunity for the women entrepreneurs by allotting space for an incubation Centre at Research and Incubation Park at IIT-H. The Director further said that they will depute their Chemistry and Chemical Engineering students to the cottage industry to work on improving the formulas being developed by the Cottage Industry Women in making soaps and other products. He further said that the IIT students will also help the women entrepreneurs to market their products by developing an e-platform and mobile application. Meanwhile, the Director sought the help of the Sarvodaya Foundation to help the IIT-H set up a cottage industry at their adopted villages at Kandi and Mamidipally villages.
The representatives of Suzuki Innovation Centre Akari Tanoura, Yokoi Minori, Prathyusha Thammineni, Vipula Nath Jindal and others accompanied the IIT-H Director, Founder of Sarvodaya Foundation Dr P Sudhakar Nayak IRS, DRDO Project Director Ch Srinivas Rao, MPDO Mrudula and Sarpanch Lakshmi Ramachandra Reddy.
